Thinking Out Loud

I am thinking out loud

It is just me all alone

Family and friends I love

In distant dreams or at home

Where I live and where I stay

With my world all the way

I find thoughts

A saving grace

Existing here in time and space

Strategy for peace in this place

Want us all just to be feeling

Hearing

Seeing

More concern for our well-being

*

I am sinking down proud

It is just me all alone

Everyone I love

In driving dreams, bright at home

Where I work and where I play

With my world all the way

I find words

Right in my face

Listen here to time and space

Strategy for peace in this place

Need us all just to be feeling

Hearing

Seeing

More confidence in our well-being

*

I am thinking out loud

Speaking with this tone

I am sinking down proud

Into the river like a stone

Where we’ve all been thrown

By everyone we’ve known

Not feeling

Hearing

Seeing

What we’re feeling and clearly being

Existing in time and space

Where’s the strategy for peace in this place?

Or is it just me all alone?

*

Diving down to the river bed

Bottom of the day

I rest my head

Calm alone

Tears we shed

Rushing past like all I’ve said

Blending in

Resting here

We may stay, never moving

Or in time

We may tumble

Rolling years can be soothing

But for some

Faith we’re losing

Way down low, egos bruising

Resilience looks up

With vision choosing

Optimism instead

*

I am thinking out loud

It is just us all alone

The world that we love

In distant dreams and at home

Where we live and where we stay

With our world all the way

Let’s find thoughts

A solid base

Existing well in time and space

Strategy for peace in this place

Want us all just to be feeling

Hearing

Seeing

Way more care for our well-being
