We have fallen from the clouds We are so far from the sky We are here down on the ground Now our good ideas fly * Sometimes it seems like what I say doesn’t matter that much any way Other times they do come into play * Now it’s water under the bridge We nevermind the glitch

I am at the front of the line but they just closed up the doors I have a ladder to climb but it goes down into the floor If we search for better times first we must grow so hard at the core * They dangle the carrot Actions without merit for anyone and themselves We can’t even bear it I have to tell myself to never compare it Our whole life is rare and we will get our share of what we are after what looks good and what we will taste No time goes to waste when we don’t have haste The prize that we are after is this time and place * Always chasing a life that is better Sometimes it depends on the weather If we can take time to enjoy it We will keep it together * I am at the front of the line but there is more than one store I have a long list to buy It depends what I can afford If we search for better times Find them with care when we don’t ignore better angles and working together through life’s tangles Admit when we can change if it helps to rearrange and set greater goals Dig deeper for more soul to get out of any hole and find better ways to roll * We are at the front of the line Let’s try to even the score We should all be feeling fine But we always want so much more If we search for better times Best to aim together and stay on course
I explain it to you but it doesn’t come through quite the way that I want it to I can not put it in context because there is way too much happening and we can not always focus if it means grappling * It seems like what matters are those key events and those key players in our lives Aware or not They will appear again and again or sometimes, just once and gone * Naturally occurring having influence on and sharing influence from those all around us and the bright shining sun also including the views of the most influential one in our lives: Ourselves Me and you the only one that we know for sure to be true When it comes to our perspective there is for certain our own point of view keeping it true as far as we make it through * When we are on the run We never act stunned Our story is spun until the battle is won and done is done * Acknowledge the subjective We must be selective of the active energy that we engage with and hold true * I describe it to you Suddenly it comes through Just the way that I want it to It will not be a contest because there is way too much happening and we do not want to protest causes that we do not feel

Poor decisions from inconsistent states of mind In some ways impulsive and so completely unkind What is at the core? The greatest motivation? If it is an illness Will health now get in line? For All of our wellness We should work to be fine * Aim for the greatest net quality of life Strained through our system Literally just try to be nice Fight for our rights and our personal heights but consider the total Keep it in sight * Moving forward All that aside Everything that happened Let’s let it ride If the illness is gone and we are right, not wrong We can build a better future just get along * Good decisions from more coherent states of mind New ways are conducive to improving the bottom line Love is at the core The greatest motivation If it is a weakness Will strength Now turn out fine? Here are some candid shots of recent visitors at our house, a skunk and a raccoon with three babies!
There has also been a bear in the yard recently, eating berries (left scat and squashed our bushes), and coyotes on the street, hunting. About once a year a deer family, including a nice buck come through the yard.
We are not much more than half an hour to the big city. Eagles, ravens, turkey vultures, osprey, hawks, geese, ducks, loons, seagulls and many other birds fly above. Stellar’s Jays for sure, screeching loud but beautiful.
Also a lot of plane traffic goes by. There are two local airports not including YVR but including a regional and an international within about half an hour.
I jumped out of a plane in Pitt Meadows eleven times over one season, in the mid 90’s. I wanted to be an instructor because they jump for free. The following season, I could no longer afford it (as an undergrad at the time).
I digress. One more shift before holidays. I am excited for some time off.
I have just completed more work and found out that I will be published as a coauthor again, if our research article is accepted. I have a few articles that are currently published in peer-reviewed journals in health research.
