Energy Behind the Clouds

april14 011

Hey there Clouds,

Get out of my way!

I’m looking for a sun shiny day,

Sky, looking down like smoldering ashes,

Past the edges of clouds, the sun brightly flashes,

Gold and white blasts through squinting eyelashes,

Freedom that blinds us, the brilliant lights catch us,

Hey there clouds,

Come make my day,

Cloud over the sky,

Make it all grey,

My mood is sullen,

And you make it stay,

Bright thoughts in my head,

Make me okay again,

Bad moods are a big mistake,

There is just a cloud in the way,

Get it out of my head,

Got to get it out of my head,

Never going to die,

Never going to die,

Never going to be dead,

Get it out of my head,

Now I want to see it thru,

Just like the sun,

I want the blue,

No bad mood,

Just colors true,

I won’t feel sad,

I won’t forget you,

Never going to do it,

Never going to do it,

Never going to do it again,

Got to get it through my head,

Just a bad thought,

Caused a bad mood,

Think of sunshine,

Got to get it into my head,

Mercy, mercy, tear dries,

Got to get clouds out of my head,

Breathe,

Be the wind,

Be the calm,

Clouds will clear,

Times turn out nice,

And it opens your eyes,

Peaceful hours arrive,

It’s good to be alive,

Encumbered by this challenge, at times when I used to stress,

All I see now is the fire, and feel the drive for success,

Strive to get above the money, and the coldest monotony,

I want to share a vision with people, so that they know what I’ve got in me,

The sun loves the blue,

Just like the clouds do,

And the hours can still stay as fair,

If I happen to stare into dark clouds with you,

Of the sunshine I am always aware

Mood of Rainy Faith

IMG_3204 (2)

It’s one of those times when I step outside,
And the air all around me, just feels so right,
The wind is welcoming and the scene is bold,
Impressions of trees and things, are brighter than gold,

It feels like I have been inside for weeks,
When really, it’s only been half a day,
Finally, I step outside into the open air,
The sanctuary is cold and grey,

The images of the day are crisp through the misty,
Flowing precipitation of the autumn skies,
Tasks are complete, and now we have time to play,
Or work for more hours to attain the prize,

The questioning of tomorrow becomes less and less,
Because I know just how far it will go,
It won’t ever change, though it may rearrange,
“We will have it made in spades,” is the undertow,

It’s the story of another rainy day,
When all the fear has gone away,
Time now moves past smooth, not tense,
Schemes of beauty make more sense,
Existence forms when angels pray,
Tells us the way the opposition will play,
Rugged nature frames every static hour,
Weather breaking peacefully or in dramatic power,
Now, everything I want is here to stay,
Even though its cold and damp today,
This sunny dream has gone far astray,
We all need freedom to be okay,
With torrential rains of faith, life is a complete downpour,
The fresh moments we savor most when we burst right out the door

Calm of the Climate Change

Aug31-17

Wisps of the forest colouring the skies,

Fiery orange sun melts into my eyes,

Now the climate changes fast as the year,

Rolls over the earth, must avoid the fear,

Turning of the day, to night we’ve never known,

Next day comes another side of this third stone,

Must find calm and hope, to get through the hours,

Harness the energy, of internal powers,

Prepare and really plan, to protect what we can,

Adapt and build bridges, that will stretch the span,

Treat our day as normal, work also for the world,

Care for each other, as the moon is curled,

As the skies roll by, all my thoughts will freeze,

As I watch the sunlight, playing in the trees

Confidence

IMG_2695

Delve deep into the sunrise,

Not far from now the night dies,

Suppressing nothing the mind finds,

And yesterday falls behind,

Stretching out into memories,

Archived for the next day I need,

Or ever more:

The sunshine’s freed,

Delicious day,

Desirable,

Divine,

And only for a few moments it might unwind,

The seconds when I’m uncertain in time,

An anxious moment, and I’m dead in my tracks,

Without you, I’m dead in my tracks,

Diving down into a frown, I fall all the way down,

Without your light, or dreams at night,

I can’t get around and I’m dead in my tracks,

Confidence returns, when I face the facts,

Anxiety fades, and good health comes back,

Peace of mind comes from love of life,

I learn to relax,

I breathe through the mountains and their forest trees,

I peer through the skies and feel through the seas,

I clamber through the attic built up in my mind,

And run electrical wire through visions that I find,

Coursing through my brains are my future plans,

In my pounding heart, my love of life sure stands,

Even though I feel humble, I still sweat certain pride,

I buzz with energy, that I can never hide,

Somewhat off or simple, this demeanor might seem,

All I really want is human harmony to stream,

If we find fairness in the rivers, instead of social stress,

We can climb the banks, and leave this muddy mess,

Chip away at brilliance, find knowledge on the run,

Rise through the valleys, reach into the sun,

Pull down meaningful faith, and media to trust,

Equality on the earth, and peace that is robust,

Voice like a volcano, the internet explodes,

Sometimes my screen glows happily, sometimes woe it bodes,

Silent snow-capped peaks in the dead of summer,

Yet fiery flames spewing, if winter has your number,

Identity comes from how we live and learn,

If our resolution is a rock, it will never burn,

For our hard world to survive, we must pool all our forces,

To protect all good lives, we must fairly share resources,

Confidence in peace can get us through each day,

Optimism flows when we climb up all the way,

Get past setbacks, escape the traps we trip,

When we endure, we find the cure, our faith sharp as a whip,

Be true to all we love, forge strength to do what’s right,

Don’t get lost in dreams, past the edge of night,

Got to dig the sunrise, have hope and trust ourselves,

With a confident outlook, our progress deeper delves

Balance and Harmony

IMG_E4363

I have risen from bed, not full of dread,

But carrying the world on my shoulders,

Yesterday weighs much less than tomorrow,

Yet together they’re like massive boulders,

Rolling down from mountains, that we call today,

The past seems to fall all around us,

Pushing back up the hill, with all of our will,

Future’s strong form could come back to pound us,

And so it seems, we must support our dreams,

And be careful about big change and planning,

Secure our resources, pool all our forces,

Create structures that will still stay standing,

Today I am strong, optimistic in song,

And nightmares are left at my pillow,

I push forward with pride, and nothing to hide,

The morning, calm and free like a willow,

Noon comes around, and leaves caress ground,

I pray that people have good moods the most,

Sun shines through cloud, neighbor’s distance does shroud,

From up in the tree, fierce battles come close,

Throughout all the day, in work or in play,

I often stop to feel the truth of pain,

The road will be hard, no matter how far,

Love helps out lots, and new faith keeps us sane,

Evening time, could change on a dime,

If we don’t work to get it together,

With all that we have, we must make a path,

That gets us through this changing of weather,

No matter what we think, the sun will sink,

We may need strong forces to guide us,

Although our way’s paved, tomorrow is saved,

If we just have a true light to tide us,

Into the night we still rely on our sight,

But sometimes it’s too dark to see,

Although life can be tense, with a certain sixth sense,

Balance and harmony are truly the key

Pass the Word, Share the Vision

Today,

Always aware of something,

Awesome,

Always working for something better,

Brightened day,

Isolation fades,

In the city,

On the highway,

In the country,

Faces seen through forests,

Leaves and branches,

Maybe from on the road,

Moving,

In the wires, amid lampposts, buildings,

Clouds…

Each impacts our center of gravity,

Words and visions have a physical force that can be,

Just enough to trigger great change,

Of the human position,

Our perspective,

To find and live,

In harmony with many – Dissonance with few,

Daylight, city lights,

Kitchen is filled with helpers,

The chairs at the table,

Are pulled right up to the table,

Why?

Inside,

Incandescent or florescent glows,

Outside, we also live,

In the sunshine, or in the rain,

In the cold,

By the starlight,

We all must find a place to work things out,

Our plans,

Our conversation,

The sharing of our views can illuminate pathways,

Favorable for the group of us,

All of us,

Despite setbacks and obstacles:

A vision of fairness,

And the sound of awareness,

Can bring us harmony,

Through understanding and empathy,

Pass the word,

Share the vision

Moods Awake

***

I can stand in this spot and

See the world
Experience takes hold
Situations unravel
While decisions unlock
Lifetimes
for some
Only hours of difference
From when a mood is inspired
until the dream awakes
For many
Sleep thoughtlessly
Wake and crawl through the paces
Potential of forgetting
Meaning
for those lost in the current
Who in tiresome motions
Face life and
Conflict in the day
Perhaps find strength in the monotony
Or better yet: seek
Courage and creativity
For our greatest aspirations
And then achieve
Until the world is changed
Moments to seize
When the mood has become
Calm and focused
Deep
and the dream lasts past wakening
When the Day takes over and we can
Transcend
Pay attention to our main goals
Free thoughts
On the level
Now
We can lead a better life
Certainly
in these times that change

Values, Words to Battle Illness

0001img_2588

If and when, I tweet or email again,

I will write more for the women and men,

All folks and then, I will check the system,

And by noon find some room for improvement,

Later in the day, when further away,

I’ll have more to say, and troubles soon fade,

All life is spent, as we solve each moment,

Gears in tune with the people and movement,

If and then when, I should take the challenge,

I will dedicate hours to planning,

The problems soon mend, and people will win,

Action matters with our understanding,

By the decades end, my words could contend,

My thought would best lend, clear conscious plans sent,

Though illness can rend, consensus defends,

Practical values that bring fair denouement

Seasons of the Day

img_2479

Awoken by rays and rain breathes life in me,

Underground sleep just until the light is seen,

The planted crops grow and feed all of our life,

Resembling the rows where we live and subside,

Incandescent glow is on and I greet myself,

This existence that covets material wealth,

The rows of the houses, people just waiting,

For a chance to advance towards escaping,

I don’t want to be dying on the vine,

Dropping off the tree,

Rotting in the ground,

Never to be freed –

Just to share in the vintage – impassioned potential sparkles at the brim,

To give years of health in places where it is seldom seen,

We all must wait, for generations to succeed,

The sharing of moments, is not allowed here,

To our fever and fret the end is always near,

The cold leaves in the autumn shake and then fall,

Through the wet ground below, seeded rivulets crawl,

In the ice in the end with our hopes frozen cold,

The thoughts glisten and may drip pointedly bold,

No excuse for children not to go out and play,

Even the vast silence is buried today,

Soon the subtle sun reaches up to the branch,

Pulling down expression dormant in the plants,

Grasping at the sprouts, felt clear down to the roots,

A new growth begins – the transition is never smooth,

I just want to be growing on the vine,

A strong part of the tree,

Rising from the ground,

Providing what I need

Awareness of Nature:  Camping in British Columbia – To Get Away

***

Work and stress can give life a frantic feel,

The fever and fret may seem way too real,

I look up to clouds, with my breath falling,

The wind is whistling, weekend-off calling,

Rain burst slants sideways, person’s proud chest sags,

I run above ground, home to pack my bags,

It’s all been planned out – we leave right at five,

We deserve this chance, want to feel alive,

More than a robot, an ordered machine,

This free soul living, a sentient being,

So many days torn, between now and then,

When I get away, won’t get trapped again,

Slowly we pull free from the parking stall,

And we won’t look back, all we need – we haul,

We are on our way, up into the hills,

To camp in the wild, Canadian thrills,

***

Cool cascading falls, rock’s ages shaped sheer,

Trees towering tall, cradle all life here,

Down way far below, on the forest floor,

Miracles abound, a dream scene and much more,

Mossy stumps and ferns, mushrooms hide tree sprites,

Creatures crawl from logs, cold clear creek invites,

Birds sing melodies, both ancient and new,

Grace us for moments, then gone as on cue,

Stunning green playing-field, setting so divine,

True breath of fresh air, no hotel is as fine,

The carpet – softer, on this floor I stand,

This music – sweeter, than a big town band,

Colours dazzle here – more than neon lights,

More intrigue excites, in these forest nights,

My love and I here, cool kids in their tent,

Now our time is free, and the day has been spent,

***

Awake to morning, no alarm to face,

No rushing traffic, no daily rat race,

Rainbows shine in dew, on webs, twigs and grass,

Coffee brewed on flame, of the campfire blasts,

Sitting on camp chairs, no straining muscles,

No aloof boss shouts, while our team hustles,

Instead a squirrel chirps, saying that we’re here,

So we share some nuts, over lunch: pop or beer,

As the day heats up, need not sweat it out,

We head to the lake – good times are about,

Before leaving site, we first douse the fire,

We pack some food tight, guitar to inspire,

The sun follows us, a friend – not a master,

Beneath our feet: mulch, helps us hike faster,

But no rush today, no hypocrite’s whip,

We are far from that, on this camping trip,

***

Climbing through branches, brave greens bless my brow,

Beyond that – sparks gold, lake shining bright now,

Clear to the bottom, aqua shades in glass,

Sand-shores diving deep, mountains sink far past,

Glaciers chiseled time, eons made this place,

This instant is pure, as today keeps pace,

Trees border the lake, hot sun gives this life,

Still: clouds, moon, and stars, fetch glory from strife,

In this fine daytime, greatness comes from love,

All part of nature, some comes from above,

The robin-egg blue, or black with white light,

The feeling we have, can come day or night,

Cool, smooth and flowing, not out on a limb,

We splash down today, get in for a swim,

Floating, paddling, immersed in a dream,

Carried back to camp, by the last sun beam,

***

Final night we pack by crackling fire,

Telling tall stories, as flames twist higher,

An owl reminds us, we are not alone,

Within these late moments, we’ll never go home,

Impression that lasts, we laugh, feast and drink,

Echoing voices, in nature we think,

The crickets and frogs, seem to always know,

Just when we arrive, and when we will go,

Join with their wisdom, their sound mixed with ours,

To keep it simple, here under the stars,

Aware of presence, with no lasting stress,

Just singing again, true needs and no less,

But really we too, feel complex footsteps,

Out in the forest, this reflex is kept,

Sacred harmony, so surely time tells,

True tests of nature, there is nothing else
