It feels like it is going to rain
but it doesn’t rain
There has to be a good reason
to want to complain oh yes
The ground is thirsty
for it’s bountiful harvest
We are on the level
We are on target
There is no exclusion
to what we’ve known hardly
I just started helping out
in the garden
and then it rained

Now forever has me thinking

A student gets back
from teacher, a gold-star test
We are on the level
The sun sets in the West
We reach a conclusion
to what we’ve known hardly
Still sunlight continues
to grow the garden
and we need rain

I have met the rain
Did you feel the rain
make you more sane?

until we feel alright

high up in the sky
at least most of the time

It sometimes feels like it will never rain
Then it starts to rain

Right now is hungry
and the time that we start best

The rain and sun are keys to the garden
