My world depends on me
Just like I depend on my world
I have my identity
Inside my head it’s curled
& in society it roams
You know, like our phone away from home?
Hope I’m free from broken bones
What did they say about sticks and stones?
My passive aggressive tendency
Is not really me
Is it the world?
*
The world pretends it’s me
Just like I pretend I’m the world
I have my sense of peace
Inside my head, a pearl
And in society it’s shown
U know, like our phone’s most welcome ringtone
Of the best contact known
Or my newest coolest poem
A massive ego messes more than me
It’s really not me
Is it the world?
*
Is it the world
That no one else can see?
Is it the world
That comes crashing down on me?
Is it the world
or is it me?
*
Is it the world
Where we can all be free?
Is it the world
Challenging constantly?
Am I up against the world
Or can I flow with it
Patiently?
If this is the world that will always be
I can only
Just be me
*
My world extends to me
Just like I extend to my world
I have my intensity
Inside my head it’s hurled
And in society it’s known
You know, like our phone when it can’t be postponed?
As we get into the zone
Catch every thing that will get thrown
The blasted progressive immensity
It could be me or
Is it totally the world?
