At the start of the day

Which one we take

Determines the way

To get past barricades

Freedom to be enjoyed

Still hard as the road we pave

Off the grid: Never?!

But on a gravel road

The turn that we take

Could make an episode

Through the doorstep dusty

Taking off a heavy load

Don’t let my wheels get rusty

Or society corrode

Bridges to the future

The ways to be Okay

The road we have to take

Determined every day

Assert honest ethics

Chase down a passing grade

Push for life deserved

One that won’t discriminate

Off the grid: Clever?!

Take the forest path

The peace of mind we find

Is the bridge to get us past

Past pain and anger and fear or worse

Nothing we encounter should diminish our worth

Burn up the anguish

Don’t burn down the Earth

Stay calm to embrace the river

Optimistic to immerse
