Whatever I say We will make our way Through each day Until all of the records are shattered
*
The next moment plays A game in some ways Every day Our pure skills and good luck will be scattered
*
Like gems in a mine that we work to refine
*
Whatever they say We have made our way Through the day All our intention and efforts matter
*
We don’t get down low When we stay on the go To relax is a goal And to fill our soul With everything that we are after Find connection to avoid distaster Find protection in good sense and laughter
It is not thoroughly edited, but I hope that people will find some helpful thoughts here.
I can’t always live up to my own suggestions. Sometimes I wish I could.
I do apply steady effort!

We carry about life with major, or at least significant, stressors and/or challenges. This may affect many or all parts of daily life.
*
If we can learn not to attach or associate frustration with that part of our life, we can not only avoid the discomfort of frustration but we can also channel our energy towards other pursuits, and in fact directly related pursuits that can help us make progress in overcoming the original stressor or challenge, but just with a different approach.
+
Frustration can force energy towards a part of life, a person, place or thing, a situation and it can cause a short circuit that does damage. A more calm approach, where things can be more thought out has more chance to make practical progress in overcoming a stressor or challenge.
*
Progress only arrives with time. Frustration very rarely helps a situation. We can avoid frustration by focussing on the processes of life. Breathe deep; focus on breathing. Try to make progress just in getting through the time and make more practical progress in goals, such as overcoming challenges and stressors, when it becomes possible across time.
*
Pay attention to the moment, but detach our focus from negative feelings that are associated with the moment. If we are not focused on negativity, we can achieve better outcomes by channelling our energy instead into pathways that are more effective in goal-pursuit such as planning, reason and confidence.
*
Eventually, when we get through the challenges, we may discover success in a new goal, and realize that it is better than our original goal. For example, achieving a calm, relaxed and even pleasurable state, is often better than doing damage and perpetuating an issue. Frustration can force an action that leads to further problems, when if we just handle our time better in the first place, by being calm, reasonable and confident, we get past more problems and avoid the discomfort associated with them.

We were at the lights last night. They are open until next week. Very cool…
Sometimes, even the plants surprise us by defying the season…
I started this lyric a few days ago.
Please don’t mind some intentionally constructive criticism of some of the situations that we may face.
I work to get through with determination, balance and optimism. I hope to comprehend the environment and social world around us enough, in order to give me time to react and contribute.
Winter has set in with some snow and ice. Definitely in the mountains. This is not really a Winter poem. It is more about the constant journey and how we can get the most out of it, and share with others.
I started writing with a different photo, but this moon fit the poetry better, as it developed.
Bear with me. Some writing has a different angle than others.
Choose our views and what we want to do Walk down by the water Take in sights on a stroll Or stay inside and watch the late night TV show
Sometimes I am glad that there is nowhere else to go I would rather not go to where the world has turned
To the time that we pay Another day that we have earned On the horizon I see Another day that has burned
The outlook is grey
Some angles may seem grim But if we look deep within We can outshine the sky And the threat that we will cry
It is all within our eye And in our mind if we let it be It is all that we will ever see If we can break down barriers Organize vision to Overcome chaos Gradual progress We exchange For one day’s loss
Work towards the best future Because there is no detour It is the only place to go Until the moon sinks down real low The month changes We go through stages
Some will feel like a win Some that we have to begin We can outshine the sky If we keep it in our eye In our mind we Choose our views
Again, it is kind of clunky, but I aim to share strategies to increase well-being and just continue to put out more poetry.

I do all that I can
To be a good person
To understand the things
That we should be versed in
Like lending a hand
When it eases hurt and
To use common sense then,
At least our version
*
Usually
we do what we think is for the best
By taking the actions
that help ourselves
*
It seems best to also
do what helps out others
That are down, cold or unprotected
But some people just don’t get it,
how it helps us to include all of the rest
*
In choices we have wealth
that create more chances for health
*
Imagine that we blanket the whole world
With a shared love
that keeps us covered
And gives us so much more
Needed synergy
**
I try to have a plan
To be a good person
I look out for myself
But stay well-immersed in
Air, water and land
That we had our birth in
To keep us defending
But not be the cursed one
*
Who won’t share
or play fair
Or give all people their rights
Yes, we must take actions
that help ourselves
*
That includes considering
what helps all others
That are hidden
from calm and warm light
Visions that get us through the night
That help keep a good future
clearly in sight
*
Kind voices bring more health
Sharing understanding can help
*
Imagine that we connect to the world
Parallel thoughts that we discover
Can give us channels for
Our own energy
*
I have to take a stand
To be a good person
Protect our connection
Help us all to first win
Supply and demand
That we find such worth in
To beat the tension
Start healthy inertia

I don’t have a tonne of people pictures to share, but this is a picture of some statues / sculptures, of one of my biggest heroes, such an amazing, good person, Terry Fox. This was not taken this year, but was taken about the same time of year. Not many could be as heroic as Terry Fox, but if we make an effort to stand up for good causes, the health of our world can gain inertia.
