It is feelings that matter

When they’re mild

When they’re intense and persistent

We really have to pass the test

I say what’s on my mind

They say I’m out of line

Their double standards protect themselves

They think that we are blind

Justice should come swift

But then they block it

Or make it hard to find

At least when I go off with a truth

I walk it like I talk it

Others I know of

bury the truth

In their house of lies

Not shocking that they lock it

I can’t help it

I tend to open my mind

I say what is real

Because to me

it should be said

They say I’m wasting my time

Their hypocrisy

Is sad as Hell

But they don’t seem to mind

Justice should come first

But then they mock it

And break it

with their own crooked design

Do not abuse

Our world with hate and lies

Sure sometimes

we keep truth to ourselves

But if we have to get it out

Working to understand

is fair and wise

to those that are greedy or blind

like nothing’s going on

is constantly booming

In the day to day

But there are so many parts

connected and moving

Despite stories

We are outliers that flow

The truth may be hard to perceive

The pressure on me

Can be hard to see

But it’s the world

That keeps my words moving

Some are quite clear

unconscious desire or fear

I aim for thoughts that are honestly soothing

The world can be healing

All of our feelings

But it hurts

when we hit a bad nerve

I tried to swerve

I’m not being a jerk

With a heavy load
