The title here is slightly misleading…

I sometimes refer to “choice words” as when I curse about something… and I do curse.

I just choose to keep it mostly out of my writing.

This poem is more about the impact and process of making choices.

I have choice words
What I am about to say
Just keep on going any way
Be cool
Be fair
Be strong and brave
Do not give up on the day
When it is always something
that we can save

We have choices
The pros and cons will not lie
Like what can we afford to buy?
Be real
Be fair
Be smart and wise
Get work done all of the time
We should each be able to
attain the prize

So we get back to it
Finding the path
A new sure way to survive
Every second there are
choices for us
About how to live our life

Sometimes we decllare decisions
With our loudest voice
Other times we keep it quiet
without any noise
Sneak up on fate
Or announce the date
Chance plays a large role in whether
we crash or rejoice
We can still connect the outcome
to one single choice

We must make choices
In everything that we do
Let us find more ways to improve
Be sure
Be fair
Be true to you
Aim to live well every day
Find your calm or excitement
Each choice is new

This one may seem gloomy at points, but is just another perspective of an otherwise bright moment. It is what it is.

Our senses pull us through and into times.

No matter how good the good times get
On the other side of now
There are still
storm clouds always present
We get used to them somehow
We find normal off-days pleasant
Because parts of them are great
The storm can always fade
Or become
Bearable at any rate

No matter how long the tough times last
On the other side of now

Bright sides always present

We find light moments stay brilliant

The flip side is
Alright
There is a silver lining

Just saying, but this may come across weird, but it is something I think that many of us go through, in the face of getting through life.

When we want it all
And we get the call
But we are unsure
Because the words are obscure
the chance may be pure
We have been there before
And now we expect much more

Why we screech to a halt
But it’s not our fault
When they opened the door
We were still on the floor
Now they shut down like a vault
And it stings like salt
in our wounds
For many moons
But when the handle turns
We can change our tune
We are fresh
But wise
We connect finally

Because some truths are assured
Comfort is the lure

But no fear is involved

The toxic parts have dissolved

I started this last night before bed. I find that when I start at that time, I seem to have something more formulated when I wake up.
