
Sometimes I write to document and work through concerns and thoughts.
It is not always as much about rhyme and rhythm?!
It is not always so much about being heard but it is also about shaping ideas so they become more useful to me too.
I do also definitely hope to share thoughts that could be useful for others, that have been useful for me…
This piece is about those moments when I do think too much, or worry and unintentionally engage in mild to medium rumination, which can sometimes lead to fixation and anxiety… with all that is going on in the world.
It is often best to be most objective, even distance ourselves from situations for a better perspective, and we should avoid wasting our thoughts on stressful situations that we can’t impact.
Still, it can help for us to consider situations to develop better ways to think about them for the future.
I feel that it is important to work through our thoughts, but be mindful of our own and others’ wellness in processing, and of the potential to make a difference.
Process: Details and Situations
I care so much about
situations and details

If I take a step back I might say
that I should care less
Or just acknowledge that I care
and then carry on
becoming less aware
*
Life is life
There is nothing that I can do
about certain situations
So then
Don’t waste time on them
*
But sometimes when I am caring
I am making progress
And working through problems
*
So really
I might as well care as much as I do
Spend time thinking about
details and situations
And think of ways to work out problems
Except if it becomes pointless anxiety
Wasting time and peace
And not getting anywhere any way
