In the Zone

Best wishes.

I started this post yesterday.

Still tweaking.

One thing is that the poem overlaps life, and I am just hearing a lot about stuff, from watching news after completing most of the poem.

Thoughts to people impacted in these times.

Ugh. Concerned.

This poem is about general ideas and scenarios that we may experience.  ☮️

Trudging through the week

While nothing seems too bleak

It is always a battle

Try not to get rattled

*

Time it right

When we hit the peak

A comfort zone outside

Vast nature is our guide

*

Wind gusts on a walk

Carries us away

Lifting our spirit and everything near it

Up to the top of the day

*

In summer, warm and nice

Rainy season

Cold as ice

*

The sudden cold breeze

Takes away the leaves

*

Some days are shrouded in a storm

Churning dark black

as wicked clouds form

*

Robust lightening shocks

Crackling white on embroiled grey

Rolling thunder all around us

Shakes our senses

Our courage stays

*

Adrenaline commences

And scares

the wits out of the once peaceful day

But thrills us intensely in another primal way

Awe of power

Feel the hour

*

Torrential rains come down

at a very slanted angle

Pools rising up on streets and highways

Rivers run off trees

and branches that dangle

*

Cold hits the bone

through thick damp clothes

All we want to be is home

Dry and warm

Loved and known

In our inside comfort zone
