All of the thoughts

that could once bring me down

have melted away

for the moment

All the emotions

that could once make me frown

have worked themselves out

for right now

I am intensely well

There is good news to tell

Today is all ours

Turn off all the wars in our heads

Nourish ourselves

on wine and fresh bread

and all of the luxury

that we can afford

We find what we want and need 

We won’t go overboard

It gets much better

when we have settled

when life is electric

and our minds are metal

Processing energy

with strength that sets us free

We are intensely well

when we can think through Hell

Keep faith in our core

Learn ways to endure

Keep our heads

Work to always stay warm and well-fed

All of us should be feeling

that we are awarded

and get what we want and need

We won’t be ignored

It gets much better

Foot on the pedal

when life is in motion

and our time is metal

Moving with energy

with strength that sets us free

All of these thoughts

that at once bring me up

have hardened like steel

for the future

All the emotions

than take me to the top

are a sign of life

for right now
