Infinite Variety

The situation is only one

of an infinite variety

Much of what we perceive

Naturally comes through the light

in and out of focus

Until crystal clear

The truth of the matter

is in so many deep contexts

Rivers

Lead to oceans in our thoughts

Every angle sinks

and has a bottom

Earth

Going down to the core

Or reaching out to the horizon

Sandy beach, a trail to the street

Fields and yards

Buildings and mountains

Trees reaching up to the sky and clouds

Glowing in our eyes

The sun with infinite contexts

And reflected by the moon at night

A more temperamental presence

With possibilities right next to unlimited

Only lack of vision

Or shallow perceptions

Will slow our ability to absorb reality

We make pathways into the light

To ground our beliefs

And secure our future
