Why do we fall?

The world seems large

And I am small

We are people

Thinking beings

With different perspectives

And different ways of approaching the world

We find equity when we balance

Don’t misjudge me

When I need

someone to talk to

Bold with care

And on the same wavelength

Certainly not risking

any rage-fest

Cruel and hurtful

with misunderstanding

I never attempt to

Nor would I ever

Cross that line

My expressions are stagnant

And you read into appearance

I don’t mean to be forward

Not improving one expression

I am here just being me

Not disrespectful

Connecting

To help love live

I am eager to get your opinion

Keen to be on the level

Sharing a smile

And a laugh

Finding innocence

Feeling strength

just to connect to humanity

All I see

I cherish and

imagine to be

Pure 

So that we will succeed

And be happy in our days

Thinking what we want to think

Nothing hurts progress

If we balance all of our life

By sharing constructive ideas

Building up to the rest of the day

For moments with what we say

Unguarded

We stay cool

In seconds together

In the next frame of time

Minutes, hours, days or years

We might be alone

I try to get things done

For the people that

I will share my time with

Sometimes the world stands still

And somehow we suffer

I see new ways forward

But they won’t always last

I want to get to the point

Time feels slow

Yet grows fast

Peace and love versus

War and hate

I’m above the wait

I know this is a process

Charge ahead to get past

Under the weight

Unburdened

When we make some progress

I’m above the hate

We need a peaceful protest

We may want evil smashed

On top of the hate

We learn sense

To embrace the most blessed

That part of all of us

We are always forgetting
