A stretching calm

took the wind out of my sails

And at that point it seemed that

I would never make it to shore

Such a response

Just won’t float my boat

I called on the powers above to do something

Make it happen

Make the connection

I soon realized that it would be

up to me to swim to shore

Once in the water

Out of sight of the drifting ship

The waves began rolling

It seemed like no one cared

The life preserver

had been sabotaged maliciously

because I stood up for myself

I had made an effort for everyone

But in doing so

it seemed vain

So I was thrown out

Disposed of

*

They expected the tempest would take care of me

But the world responded

And I was saved by a friend

Just passing by

on their own mission

to get to shore

In a skiff that jumped the waves

And brought us to a beach

Where other friends were waiting

And we worked together

to save the others

Even though they had left us out at sea

We build strength to save the day

Pool resources with a good attitude 

Work for more well-being

and inspired adventures

where the wind carries us further

and we achieve more

because we improve life

from more angles

With more included
