I’m caught in a dream

I’m chasing a stream

Of reality

The regular day

Seems so far away

How can I bring it closer to me?

Working to be

Logical and concrete

To where life isn’t real

I won’t chase goals

That don’t reflect the whole

I want the stars and sun

To be too far to run to

But close enough

To feel in my soul

So that their power has a hold

And my heart won’t get cold

And the moment

Never grows old

Where we are all okay

How can we be closer to equity?
