I am thinking of a better world
One where everyone
Helps each other
And where peace and love
do not get hurled
Into hell when losers
Can’t be bothered
To follow science and art
that is curled
Like sleeping creatures
Charging a warm world
We can’t give up on humanity
**
One thousand years from now
Is it going to be
a barren wasteland?
Fires burning
No replacement
The world keeps turning
But we’re faceless
Suffering numbers
Graceless
Tasteless
Remnants of a world we loved
**
I am thinking of a better life
One where we do our best
to help each other
And where peace and love
just seem more wise
No more hell when losers
Get too hot and
Can’t follow science and art
that guides
The waking creatures
Giving back to life
We won’t give up on humanity
**
One hundred years from now
Is it going to be
a barren wasteland?
Oceans flooding
No replacement
The world keeps turning
Few will face this
Dwindling numbers
Places
Makeshift
Remnants of a world we loved
**
Will we throw it all away
Because we don’t want to pay?
For life that costs us
To save someone else’s day
While all of our resources
In surplus
Are rotting fast, tucked away
We may have to
throw it all away
Just so that they can have their say
That they are superior
Saving help till it’s way too late
**
Ten years from now
Is it going to be
a barren wasteland?
Factories fallen
No replacements
The world keeps turning
We must face this
We still have numbers
Bases
Spaces
Chances for a world we love
**
I am thinking of a better Earth
One where everyone
Helps each other
And where peace and love
will have more worth
Far less hell where losers
Feel so smothered
Instead follow science and art
that is pure
Like every creature
Has a chance on Earth
We can’t give up on humanity
**
What about tomorrow
How can we escape
the barren wasteland?
Our life that’s thriving
No replacement
The world keeps turning
Now we face this
Build up the numbers
Aces
Cases
Co-operation
for a world we love
