Sometimes people

just do not care

They remain largely unaware

Of our efforts and intentions

They choose not to compare

The way that they are living

The social front

That they have prepared

With ways of life

That are more giving

And that truly are more fair

They think that being kind is square

And just do not want to share

They think that

being nice makes you weak

That it’s not cool

Their outlook’s bleak

All of our efforts and intentions 

They choose to harshly tweak

Yet the way that they are living

Their social front

Is just a peek

Of what’s inside

That they are giving

They are much more scared and meek

They think that being mean

has mystique 

Yet of humanity won’t speak

**

Sometimes people act this way

The same people

that think that way

They don’t give less fortunate folks a say

And they think that it’s okay

Because they have got it made

And don’t want anything to interfere

With their

decadent good cheer

But those

with less quality of life

Contribute to humanity

With every breath they take

Spirit is not fake

There is greed that we must shake

And share the health

Share the wealth we make
