We form an intricate design

To start is great

A glimpse over the shoulder
May make us bolder

And we like being told so
Or looking back
A follower that’s bright
Like a satellite at night
When it’s safe
And not too cold here

Of all the years
Tell me, what is it that I have found?

Folks blessed
By crossing lines
Someone shouted
“We have got this far”
Then shares
An unfinished design

As we grow older

And we like being sold more

A follower with light
That’s starts to ignite the fight
When it’s safe
To turn to gold here

“What’s the big rush?”
You wonder
Asking me
“Oh not much”
As you can clearly see
I just want us to be free
From too much suffering

Sometimes we manage
But sometimes
we are hanging by a thread
Sometimes we are left for dead
Because we don’t fit the mould
Too much is in our head

My heart has way more
Than most care to explore
I’ve often been told
I should focus
on the prize instead
Follow
both bold and subtle rules
Of insufferable fools
Who treat justice as uncool
Because it goes against
The junk that we’ve been fed

The world can change
With what we think
But then sometimes I start to sink
It seems like
they are often there to cut the thread

Fortunately we tie good knots
And can get stronger chains
To avoid the pain
Lifting us up to better spots
Where gears don’t get caught
And no one is left struggling in vain

Pull ourselves up together
Where mind and body don’t sever
And our soul is soothed
or positively excited by our brain

People see a mountain or a hill
Trees that are never quite still
The forest is a wall or a window
We write our visions in the rain

Life strives best
when we all gain in goals that are logical
healthy and sane
