Strangers Enough

I am a stranger to you

And that’s a danger to me

There is no way to get through

With what I have to say

*

There’s no way to share

What would benefit us both

There’s no way you will care

And you will never know

*

While I think I’m so smart

There is much more to learn

Like how to climb up to your fire

Without getting burned

**

You are a higher up

And I’m a further down low

There’s no way to get past that

So I have no where to go

*

There’s no way to share

While we’re in the same boat

I am much more aware

But you will never know

*

Though we think we are smart

There is much more to learn

Like how can strangers be trusted

And how can we share this world?

**

There is much more to learn

We have a universe

Packed with stuff

And sometimes

We can

Perfectly understand it

*

I can understand based

On what we all know

And from being pulled

Through life by an undertow

*

Strange what we learn

When it’s all for show

And then we learn what we learn

When we are getting down low

Or while we just make it through life

And go with the flow

**

I am a stranger to you

And that’s a danger to me

There is a way to get through

That’s what I have to say

*

It’s not exceedingly rare

But it benefits us both

it takes both of us to care

To bring solutions close

*

There’s a clear way to get smarter

And a clear way to learn

If we know strangers enough

Their perspective is observed
