Here I am

Do you give a damn?

I’m working hard

To treat us right

Caring always comes naturally

Hope what we want

turns out alright

*

If nothing else

We could still share the wealth

As we fight to stay above water

*

The temperature out here is either

cold as ice

Or too hot and getting hotter

**

I picture that we all get along

Like in some science-fiction movie

All connected to what we want

A world that feels so soothing

*

Then the monster rears it’s head

But just for our private viewing

*

Seems now our nerves

are all shot

And the scene ends in ruins

*

What else should we be doing?

Here I am

What is the plan?

I’m working hard

To see the light

*

Sometimes it

seems to come naturally

Other times we 

Really have to fight

*

Then someone else

Finds a way to share health

But it’s far away across the water

*

The proximity to healing is either 

Within sight

Or so far it gets forgotten

**

I envision that we all get along

Like in some comedy and action movies

*

All sure we will get what we want

A world that keeps improving

*

Then the villain has a hold

But only in our private viewing

*

Seems now these thrills

Mean a lot

The scene could use reviewing

*

What should we be doing?

**

We should be sharing our views

And accepting others’

No matter what it is

Consider what it covers

If it is harmful

Then reject it

Or heal the issue

With new ways to discover

Think about the scene here

And try to help out one another

Easy to say but hard to do

Always accepting others

While getting our point thru

Here I am

Please try to understand

I’m working hard

To keep insight

Many times it

comes so naturally

Other times it seems

I am not right

Then someone else

Has a solution to sell

Like a bridge over troubled water

The speed of traffic out here

is either slow at that price

Or too fast for us

at full throttle

I picture that we all get along

Like in some documentary movie

All learning to share what we want

To keep our industries booming

*

Then the narrator takes a stand

That we see in our own private viewing

*

Seems now our attention is caught

Scenes in life are congruent

*

This is what we should be doing

**

We should be refining our views

While allowing others

Sure it depends what it is

With patience we discover

If it is harmful

Then reject it

Or heal the issue

With new ways to develop

Think about the scene here

And try to help out one another
