I don’t always

stand out in a crowd

But sometimes I do

I can keep my head down

I’d do anything for you

Like open up and be loud

You may find it unusual

Maybe even incredible

But don’t give me grief

if you don’t believe my stories

I am not a liar

and I am not boring

I try not to exaggerate

When my words are forming

I can’t always say

just what I mean

I certainly try to

Sometimes I’m

stuck in a dream

I’d do anything for you

But I try not to cause a scene

You may find our time beautiful

Maybe even incredible

But don’t feel surprised 

If you can’t make sense of everything 

Tomorrow I can explain

Some more of life’s mystery

I try not to speculate

When my emotions are storming

It gets out of hand

When people don’t understand

And they’re so fired up

with their train of thought

that they lash out and attack

the people that are caring

while they remain unaware

they are attacking unfairly

because they are so intense on an angle

that the victim has

in fact never been sharing at all
