Constant wicked chaos

With a few fleeting moments

to connect to peace and calm

Everyday we get hit

With another challenge or a crisis

Today I’m taking a stand

Because that’s what I do

Every day

To make my views known

People are passive aggressive

when attacking

They assume it’s okay

Less often

Perfect super pay-offs

With sweet and soothing moments

to connect to peace and calm

Then so soon we get hit

With another set back we get cut off

Today I’m taking a stand

For our shared fragile groove

Trying to clear the way

Do I see you there standing

To make these views known?

People our casually abrasive

when attacking

They don’t care if it’s okay

Many people choose

to put others down

Rather than build us up

If we had more empathy around

Life wouldn’t be so tough

Sometimes we can’t even believe

The things that others need

Maybe we can’t understand

at all

We may look only for ourselves

With no effort to reach out or call

If we trample through life blindly

With assumptions above all

We can make mistakes

in the steps we take

And that’s how we can fall

Of course

We all have secret soft spots

With valued vital moments

to protect our peace and calm

Sometimes our target gets hit

With another danger or a safe shot

Today I’m taking a stand

To share fair plans

With you for every day

To make our views well-known

Kind truth helps it grow ok
